Rose bowled the club over, scored a six, with her heart-warming witty and express speech about her love of Cricket today. She fielded an expressive range of gestures on us. There were no gaffs, nor batting collapse. Rose was a bit of a Biffer, an attacking batswoman in the way she propounded her love of Cricket to us. She showed us some fast leg theory as she mimicked bowling body balls across the stage. With a Flick of her eye she moved the speech from one inning to the next, following through with a Paddle scoop movement or two towards the boundary of the stage. At no point did Rose suffer the Yips with any lost confidence, she spoke like a Yorker with fast delivery. She was the meetings wicket maiden, “Man of the match”, and Toastmaster of the day.
