The time has come to show off you speaking skills! On Friday at 5.30 we’ll be holding the club contest. The winner will be advancing to represent our club at the area level contests held on Thursday 31 March.
Ruth is chairing the event and currently we have three contestants lined up: Alex Dean, Margreet Bos and Ratna Bose.
This is a great opportunity to test your speaking skills against other Toastmasters, learn from them and get tips for improving on your next assignment. Of course the contest would not be possible without the help of all the great volunteers taking on roles such as judge, tally counter, timer, sergeant at arms and chair.
There are some restrictions for advancing to the next level. Having completed six projects from the CC manual before attending the club contest for one. To read up on all the rules of a toastmasters contest refer to the official rule book.
Feel free to come round for a fun session and watch the speakers battle it out, then join us for some social drinks at the Leuven on Featherston Street.
