With a confident pace Rashmi “cracked the ice” with her 1st speech, known as an “Ice Breaker” and titled “All about Me”. But there was no cracking and smashing of ice here, more like a hot knife moving through butter as Rashmi delivered on the title and shared with us in a humorous way how her arranged marriage formed in India brought her to New Zealand on what was a promise of a 2-year sojourn. Now 7 years on, it looks to be turning permanent, with children at school. She hopes that Toastmasters will help give her confidence in speaking.
