Several times a year we celebrate one of our members completing a level of a Toastmasters Speech Pathway. Last Week we celebrated 2 members!
Pictured above Georgia and Ryan hold certificates for completion of the Presentation-Mastery Pathway > level 1. This has required presentation of the first 5 formative speeches delivered to our audience. Kudos and good mahi to both of you!
Completing this certificate also signifies:
- Their newfound eligibility to participate in wider cross-club competitions. Maybe you’ll see them at one soon!
- The possibility they have to pick and partake in new pathways …. and master those too!
But what is a Pathway?
A Pathway (Presentation Mastery, in this case) represents a curated selection of assignments every Toastmaster is journeying through, to master a themed skill or set of skills as they present and evaluate various speeches. Each pathway has multiple levels, allowing the participant to advance through a wide range of assignments. Multiple pathways are available to be undertaken simultaneously. Heres some popular ones:
- Team Collaboration
- Persuasive Influence
- Visionary Communication
- Dynamic Leadership
- Effective Coaching
- Motivational Strategies
