“Congratulation to Daniza Galinovic, for winning the Toastmaster’s of the Day Award for chairing her very 1st meeting for the club.
By her own admission chairing a meeting was something new and a stretch of her comfort zone. Not that we could tell, as she beamed and smiled, made interesting links from speaker to speaker that were confidently announced.
What impressed me most with Daniza was that she was up for pushing her self out of her comfort zone into new territory. Not easy but the support of fellow Terrace@12 Toastmasters helps.
She also made a clear effort by not just came up with a cunning self-reflective theme of “Comfort Zone”, which resonated with all. Also she turned the theme into a diagram drawn up on the white board. The diagram acted as a constant reminder and as a prop on the white board that she adroitly referred to without blocking the view.
