Ratna Bose inspired and entertained the crowds with her story of an indian tea merchant who looked after first one homeless child, then two, then dozens, then hundreds! While Alex’s recollection of Kosher food on an airplane was amusing and Margreet’s speech on how to prepare for an earthquake had lots of great tips in it, they could not compete with the “Chai Wallah with a Heart of Gold”. Ratna will go on to represent the club this Thursday at the Area 9 contest held at ANZ Toastmasters in 175 The Terrace.

After a few more drinks and nibble at Equinox (thank’s to Anthony for that), the last ones standing went on to The Occidental for some live music and dinner. The one or other Toastmaster was even spotted dancing Salsa later that evening!

Big thank you goes out again to all the helpers and judges, especially Neville who last minute stepped up to do written evaluations of the candidates. The comments and suggestions were greatly appreciated.
