Terrace@12 Toastmasters
Since 2002, the club has been a supportive environment for our members to learn skills like how to chair a meeting, give speeches with purpose, deliver constructive feedback and take on leadership skills.
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds and stages of life. What we share is a willingness to reach our full potential both as speakers and as leaders.
When and where we meet:
- Wednesdays, 12:00–1:00 pm
- Conference suite up the alley on the north side of St Andrew’s, 30 The Terrace, Wellington
We meet during the lunch hour, making it easy to fit Toastmasters into your day.
How to find us:
We are in the office block behind St Andrews Church (pictured below)

Once in the Foyer of the building, you will see a screen next to reception with the rooms various events and clubs are in for the day, you’ll see us listed there.
Getting there:
Parking: There is paid parking nearby at Wilson’s Parking on Mowbray St
From the station: its a 10 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride via the number 22 bus to a stop on the other side of the street.
Visiting a meeting:
Guests are always welcome, simply message us here so we know to expect you. While we encourage guests to have a go, there’s no pressure – you can simply observe if you prefer.
You can expect a typical meeting to be structured but fun, and designed to help people learn by doing.
Joining our club:
You’re welcome to visit several times before deciding to join. When you’re ready, a Committee member will have you complete a membership form and pay a joining fee. You can begin working on speech projects soon after joining.
