Congratulations to Chris whom unexpectedly won Toastmaster of the day this week. It was unexpected because he was the General Evaluator for the day, and would normally be giving out the award, and therefore could not consider himself. But Ruth the meetings chair interrupted, and took charge to change protocol, and made the award. For Chris’s Table Topics participation, which for him as GE was also unexpected.
Pauline had a plan with her Table Topics, to extend each participant by giving them a Toastmaster strategy for better table topic answers before asking her question. Her challenge was to start an answer with a dramatic statement, phrase or quote. A very good tactic to follow.
“Don’t forget your sleeping bags!” was how Chris started his Table Topics reply.
