An Le made a royal win by scooping this week’s Toastmaster of the day. She won by organising and running a regale meeting, themed on Royalty. An started off with a great introduction, which broadened our minds with the lower case and second in mind meanings of ‘royalty’: rights granted by a sovereign, payment such as a writer or musician gets, a share of profit. An then rolled out the red carpet for us to follow towards the capitalised Royalty with some history of Her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth II continued popularly and status of Head of State for New Zealand, before raising up the Queen’s birthday as the reason d’être for the meeting thus placing it neatly upon a throne. As we also place An for het chairmanship of the meeting this week, well done An.
