Congratulation to Stephen for regaling to us such an entertaining yarn, of a most terrifying event, which easily won him the Toastmasters of the day award. He used his skill as a storyteller, starting with his vivid word picture of him hanging out the side of an aircraft being bumped and buffeted by wind speeds well in excess of an extreme wind day in Wellington, whilst organising a team of sky divers to jump in formation into the void of empty space between the aircraft and the ground. And the story thus continued at a hurtling pace through layer upon layer of danger and excitement, until Steve delivered us with his climax, which thankfully for us and him was not a thud on the ground, but close enough to make us hold our breath.
